I think I Want to have my Home page as a Blog page but not have any posts on it.

I had my site set up and used categories to separate out two types of post on their own pages. In my Dashboard Reading Settings I had Front Page Shows> A Static Page> Home.

Now I am wanting to use WPBook plugin that doesn’t like not having the home page as the blog page. So I want to set my home page as a blog page and then stop it showing any posts and only display the content from my original home page.

Does that make sense? Could I even do it? Is there a better way?
