I think I found another bug.

    1. Use free version
    2. Add product in Hebrew language in woocommerce. I think it will happen for any non Latin language but I tested in Hebrew.
    3. Go to checkout and buy it. All is cool. Paypal loves you.
    4. Now add a pricing deal to that product. I created “buy one discount next one”.
    5. Now go and buy the product. Don’t buy 2. Just one so the deal isn’t triggered.
    6. Paypal complains encoding isn’t what it expected, no love for you. You cannot proceed.
    7. Disable discount deal/plugin, Paypal still doesn’t love you. It’s as if plugin changes something in the product forever which Paypal doesn’t like.

Paypal is set to accept utf-8 encoding.
Tested live on Paypal, not sandbox.

    All best,
    Goran

    Hi,
Thanks for the detailed description. Pricing Deals interacts with catalog and cart pricing only. The only time something is changed in the cart, is when an auto-insert of a free product is initiated by a rule. I am unclear on how Pricing Deals could possibly be responsible for this situation – especially as you report that the issue occurs when no deal is active on any price in the cart.

    Suggest a test:
    (1) nuke all rules, using the button in the Pricing Deal settings page
    (2) deactivate pricing deals and test
    (3) activate pricing deals with no rules added. test.
    (4) add a cart rule. test

    Let me know….

    Best,
    Vark
