  • I promise to be paying customer if your plugin is a solution…I am preparing to implement a site that has thousands of items for users to review.

    1 – Admin as well as site users have the ability to add items to be reviewed.

    2 – Admins and site user will have the ability to rate any item using 5-star rating.

    3 – Items are not blogs. It will be greate if bulk import of items are possible so the items are available for rating. Tools to do so will be a plus.

    4 – Site search for items will show list of result along with the aggregate rating like Amazon. Expanding the aggregate will show how many users gave 1, 2, 3 stars in bar graph manner.

    5. Drilling down on a an aggregate will show all the detailed reviews along with the full texts of all the reviews of that item. This similar to going to all the reviews for that particular amazon of one item at Amazon.

    dear,

    this stuff is just not promising to be novice friendly. I have 0 PHP, but I am not stranger to coding in general. I was gong to give this a test drive.

    You install instruction says to add <?php if(function_exists(‘the_ratings’)) { the_ratings(); } ?> display while loop. That is what I did and it broke my site and had to comment out the code everywhere I added. I just copy-pasted, no syntax issue. Error is not very descriptive for trouble shoot “Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /home/xxxyyy/public_html/wp-content/themes/twentyfourteen/archive.php on line 51” for each file I added the code in.
