I need to take away a home page link.

Do you have two Home pages if so can you paste header.php file in https://wordpress.pastebin.com Submit and paste the url here so that I can you what code to delete.

Keep a copy of header.php file just in case you have to restore the file.

Delete this line see that takes the home link out.
