I need to have backslashes in forms. How ?

I know backslashes are automatically stripped out.

But how can I keep them ? I’m using WordPress as an offline database andf so plan on having *hundreds* of links to server-based documents. All of them of course have backslashes in their path.

I’ve been going Google-crazy for days looking at stripslash and magic quotes, htaccess mods and formatting.php hacks, but nothing seems to work.

Does any one have any ideas ? Am willing to try anything !
