I need to disable Avatars wordpress 292

    I desperetly need to disable all posting Avatars / Gravatars in wordpress 292. I have tried a couple of plugins, but they do not do the job and one of them made it so admin could not log in untill I removed it. I do not want Avatars on any of my 4 blogsites. Please if anyone can help or know how to disable the avatars.
