I am having a website hosted through Blue Host for my skin care business. I’ve been fiddling around with Word Press for hours. While I managed to rewrite some code in order to get the look I want, my website still behaves like a blog.

I need to be able to list items and add a shopping cart and checkout option. Should I even be using Word Press or should I be using a different program? How do I go about doing this?

Hi there! WordPress has excellent capabilities to operate the way you want and sell your products. In fact, WordPress is extremely user friendly compared to other e-commerce options.

I’d recommend downloading the “Woocommerce” plugin and taking a look around there. It’s a popular, if not the most popular e-commerce plugin that you can use with your wordpress site.

You can download it directly from their site by visiting above or install it in your WordPress dashboard by searching for “Woocommerce”. They have tons of documentation on how to get started and also extensive information on customizing and extending their options.
