I need the Double OptIn form to go into a widget??

To use the plugin in the side bar you will need to use the widget.

In the main Admin area of WordPress go to the widgets section (it is within the Appearance section) look for the “Double Opt-In Signup” widget. Add to the sidebar, configure it and you should be good to go.

Currently the widget does not have the ability to add an image to it. Although that is an excellent idea and I will work it into a future release

I have added the shortcode to a widget
in the sidebar… just put it in with the
message/image that were set up there

I’ve also tried adding the shortcode to
the DOI widget…

still doesn’t show up

the widget sidebar for this site is the
same on all pages…

I’m a real newbie with WP… I can stumble
my way around the dashboard …not really
proficient….

does the shortcode have to go into the
DOI widget?

when I added the widget and looked for
the download, the pdf that I’d uploaded
to the media library didn’t show up?

Hi there,

Shortcode(s) do not work in sidebars.

You need to use the Double Opt-In Signup Widget. Drop and drag it to the sidebar that you want to use. See the directions I gave in the previous post.

Don’t use the media area for your downloads. You need to upload your download file within the plugin. Click on DOI-Downloads, then click “Downloads” You will then see the section where you upload your download. Once you have done that, then it will show up in the drop in the widget.
