I Need Some Help About Sharing Style

    Hi there. I have a few questions and need some help about this plugin.

    First of all.. I am using publicize with ‘Facebook Thumb Fixer’ plugin. Because my site’s tags were kind of changed after i tried god damn ‘all in one seo pack’..

    Now.. I have two main issues about publicize..

    1 – Publicise is sharing ‘custom message’ (if i change it) above Facebook content. But.. It just shares my post’s link too.. You can check the image link to see what i mean;

    How can i get rid of that link shown in the post?

    2 – My second problem is with G+..

    As you can see on the img below, g+ is sharing my ‘custom message’ twice. What i have noticed; when i dont touch the ‘custom message’, Facebook is sharing a paragraph from my post and adding ‘[xxx more words]’ after that. To get rid of it; i am using my own custom messages. And i usually just copy the excerpt to custom message then share.

    But when i do this, g+ is sharing the custom message twice. I think i figured out why; for my opinion, g+ is normally sharing ‘excerpt’ on the post even if you change the ‘custom message’ or not.

    So; when i put the same sentences in ‘excerpt’ and ‘custom message’, g+ is sharing the same message twice.

    Its scheme is something like;

    G+ POST
    [custom message]
    [excerpt]
    [post body]

    So.. How can i get rid of this? i dont want to place different words for excerpt and custom message. is there any way for me to do this?

    3 – my last question is about twitter.. this is not a big deal but i wonder if theres a solution for that.

    normally, twitter shares my ‘higlighted image’ or whatever you call it. I mean the main image we put for the post, to show on sliders etc. Normally twitter shares this for the post.

    But if the post includes a video.. I dont mean i am putting the video as a highlighted media or something else. Just a regular video in post, and that post also has a highlighted image too.. On this option; twitter does not share my image.. It just shares links and adding a ‘show media’ button to the bottom right of my tweet.

    I think this is about the priority of something between twitter and publicize connection. But im not sure.

    So.. On this option.. Is there any way for me to show the highlighted image on tweet as my other posts? I dont want to video to mess that tweet up.

    Its scheme is something like;

    That’s correct. The problem here is that the custom message and the excerpt are in fact similar in your case.

    I’m afraid there is no way to work-around this right now. Custom Messages were built to display above the post excerpt, to allow authors to define a custom title for their Publicized posts.

    Is there any way for me to show the highlighted image on tweet as my other posts? I dont want to video to mess that tweet up.

    We do indeed avoid uploading an image to Twitter when we consider the post a “Video” post. if you don’t want a post to be considered a Video post, the post content will need to include 2 more paragraphs than the number of videos you inserted in the post. If you inserted one video, you’ll consequently need to have 3 paragraphs in your post, and Twitter will include an image again.
