    hello you all my site is broken down all and all i need is index.html file
    i deleted it by mistake so i need it please anybody share it with me all have sameindex file i need it please help me.

    currently my website is showing this error

    “HTTP Error 403.14 – Forbidden
    The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory.”

    There is no index.html file for WordPress. Did you delete index.php? If so, go to www.remarpro.com, download a new copy of WordPress, unzip it, then upload index.php to the root of your site.

    hi but my hosting company says i am facing this problem because there is no index file
    so can you check my homepage and say some thing why these error is there .

    Nope, not in a million years. No way. There is index.php file, though. You can find it in any original WordPress installation package.

    Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

    So, bottom line: Do not ask for or offer credentials on the forums.

    Do you have an index.php file in the root of your site? If so and if you get a 403, you need to contact your host and ask them to check why it’s not being recognized.

    Where are you hosting? I see it’s on Windows.
