• Hi, I use twenty eleven theme and need to re-size the widget area to make it wider as I now use ads.

Every time I make it wider it always lowers the widget area to below the main content. I do not know how to come around this issue.

    Here is the url: https://www.harddope.com

    Thank you guys, always great!

  • That’s called responsive design.
It’s to ensure that everything aligns well and looks good on small-screen devices (such als iPads, iPhones and other stuff).

It’s very popular nowadays in webdesign, but it’s definitely a “pro-technique”.
Unfortunately Twenty Eleven was build this way, so getting around it might be harder that ‘just deleting all the @media-tags….

    I’m sorry, but I really don’t have a simple and clear-cut answer for you this time… ??

Ahhhh lol. I really do appreciate your help. IF there’s is anything I can do as a thank you gesture please ask. Also if you figure out the answer please let me know! ??

I guess I will look into some plugins ??

Or maybe just make my site fit the screen 100% so I have the option to scroll down?

I hate these situations where I cant figure out. = Headaches!

@youngr, I think I may be able to save you a lot of misery. Don’t know if it will work for what you want to do. CHANGE your theme to Atahualpa. Atahualpa allows up to 4 sidebars and you can adjust the width of each and every sidebar. I am using only two sidebars for my blog, take a look at https://bachutha.com and see if it is more like what you need.

You can download Atahalpa from your Appearance > Themes menu
