I need help with Popularity Contest

Hey,I’m using popularity contest plugin but I’m having a bit of trouble with the display of it.

<?php akpc_most_popular_in_month(); ?>

That is what I’m using to display my most popular posts but it displays it only by month and displays 10 which is to much for my small template.What would be the right display code to get the 5 most popular posts of all time with a > symbol before every title?
