I need help regarding BuddyPress

Howdy friends,

How can I build a BuddyPress Social Networking Website in which people can create their profile and can post about their favorite topics and this topic gets automatically visible to the frontpage of the site where everybody can read it and send friend request to the writer of that post if they want…

For Example:- Suppose I build a recipe sharing site in which people can make categories according to there choice like veg, non-veg, salads, Chinese cuisine etc. and the people can explore recipes from here according to there preferable category and can send friend request, if they want.
