How do I add a read more button

    I am new to WP and have a question about posts.

    I see on many other WP sites that when a post is made it includes possibly a title and a short line or 2 regarding the post then there is a Read More button. You click the button and it takes you to the entire post to read.

    On my site my entire post appears and NO read button.

    How to I get my site to have the read More button so it looks more clean?

    I am currently using the twenty eleven theme.

    Any help is appreciated. LOST
