Moderators don’t respond to “commands”.
And they do not email anybody without a reason.
If you have an issue: post about it here.
If you think YOU need to contact somebody – then follow mrmist’s advice.

Nice cleanup. I contacted a moderator through the stated gmail account but did not receive a reply. I was not convinced that the gmail account in question is checked often, so I did what I have done on other chat boards for almost 30 years and asked for a moderator to drop me a line if possible.

moshu, thank you for moderating the tags, but can you please addess the tagging issue with the people who added them? It really does discredit wordpress when the support areas are so aggressive against newcomers to the board.

No it doesn’t discredit WordPress at all. Newcomers often turn up on what is a completely free service thinking that extremely highly qualified, very experienced and exceptionally well paid individuals are just sitting there waiting for demands from complete strangers to *contact them* because they – the strangers – *need* it. They don’t.

That isn’t what I think in the slightest. I didn’t post this like “I am waiting!”, but rather asking a moderator to contact me regarding an issue that really shouldn’t be on the board. I have contacted the only email address available, but I have not had a reply. This message was posted in case any of the other actual moderators might be inclined to contact me in the mean time.

I ain’t no newcomer when it comes to the web, I have probably been doing this longer than most around here. My expectations of support on a freeware product are in fact extremely low, just above null. It is clear that my expectations are being met.

So I wait.

The question isn’t something that can be answered by anyone except a moderator or board admin. Asking it would be pointless, and you likely lead to more tag-defacing of my posts. So I will wait and discuss this all with someone in a position of responsibility.
