Ah, I hate internet explorer. The site looks good in Firefox, Chrome, IE8…but IE7 there is one issue of the sidebar floating to the bottom of the page. I’ve tried adding display:inline to the css and that doesn’t seem to work like it has in the past.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    I don’t understand.

Is there a specific line I should be looking at? I really don’t care about it validating, as it won’t anyways because I’m using a flash object. I just need to fix the sidebar from scrolling down. That’s all.

If you’re concerned about your site looking correct in all browsers – including IE6-7-8 – than you do need to be concerned with valid code, becuase valid code goes a long way in making cosistent display happen. Valid code also makes search engines happy. Fixing just the sidebar is a bandaid.

Maybe you’re not using WP Framework correctly? And you’ve got lots of white space in your page source, too, from either that, or the text editor you’re using.

Actually, the current version of WordPress 2.9.2 ads the white space when you upload zip files using the theme uploader.

    I don’t care about IE6…

It looks fine in IE8, just having an issue with the sidebar floating to the bottom in IE7.

IF you aren’t going to help and just grandstand about validating, which I already told you it won’t because of the flash object, then step aside and I’ll wait for another person to answer.

IE 7 could possibly handle widths borders different than all other browsers, I forget. You may have to make a conditional statement that takes a couple of pixels from the width of the element.

@joebrooksie: You’re better off going elsewhere for help.

I probably should because songdogtech, you didn’t provide me with any help. All you did was link me to a separate website. How about you stop trolling this board and help people for once?

    The solution…

“Joe, its look like to me you are calling the class of “contentwrapper” twice when you are probably only wanting to do this once” … not,

“Hey go to this site because I’m too damn lazy to look at your code myself, but I’m posting here just to increase my post count and seem relevant.”

Hey – it’s your code. If you haven’t checked through it line by line at least three times before posting, I’m not convinced that you’re in a position to call anyone “lazy”…
