How do people make contact with the listing agent of a property? I have the Agents add-on installed and the Agent widget shows on the property page. But there is no option to contact that agent except by displaying the email address field. I don’t want to display email addresses, it creates spam issues. You can see the widget on the left sidebar of this page https://bit.ly/2owwTcM

There should be a form or secure button to link to open an email.

Contacting the agent of a property is the most crucial part of this business, please provide a straight-forward solution.

Also, when the listings are uploaded by people using the FEPS add-on, there needs to be a way to contact the person that posted the listing.

    Hello,

Thank you for the comment. At the moment the e-mail is the only option we have. However, you could leave us an idea here: https://feedback.usabilitydynamics.com/forums/95259-wp-property and once it picks up a lot of votes we could consider implementing this functionality.

This is extremely disappointing. Its not something that needs to be suggested to your feedback area, making contact about a property is an absolute neccessity for anyone in the real estate industry.

A contact form should be displayed on every property page. How else can we sell the property??

We do have a free WP-CRM plug-in, with this plug-in you could create custom shortcodes forms including custom information of your choice. You could place these forms on the property page based on the agent. Below is more information:

Ok, can you see my frustration? First it was not possible and now it is…

Slowly, we are making progress ??

The link you gave me, it does not have instructions to configure the CRM plugin to do what I’m asking, a Contact form to contact the agent/owner of the property. I have tried it before with no luck.

Please. PLEASE, give me instructions to add a Contact form to the single property pages that sends an email to agent associated with the property or the uploader(for FESP listings).

WP-Property has 3 input methods that I know of:
    -manual post
    -via the Importer add-on
    -via the FEPS add-o

Although you will tell me that input is different, they all output the same thing- properties. So what I (and probably every single one of your customers) needs is a single contact form that notifies the WP user/agent associated with each property, regardless of how it was input.

Can you walk us through the process of making the form(s) using your CRM plugin? PLEASE

    Hello,

I do understand the frustration, wanted to edit the message, but you were too fast ??

I am going to send you some documentation links that will assist you with custom form creation as there is a lot of information. Once you go through these link and have some issues/questions/comments, please give me a ping via e-mail. I will answer all the questions you have ??

This doesn’t help at all. Why is it so hard to answer the question directly? Have you ever used your own product?

Please just walk me and all your customers through the one simple and completely necessary process of adding a Contact form to a single property page.

    Hello,

We provide step by step instructions within the documents I have provided. These documents are very detailed and describe different scenarios, so the customer can manage these functions as they require.

The reason why we do not write out the answers ourselves is because our plug-ins are very flexible, so it will be a very long answer, this is why we offer detailed information in a form of knowledge base articles.

This is the simplest way I can walk you through this action:

    1. Go to CRM/Settings/Shortcode Forms
    2. Fill out “Title” of the form
    3. Check off the needed boxes that you require
    4. Pick fields that you want to display on the form. (these fields can be created and managed in the Data tab.
    5. Copy the shortcode that will generate when you name the form.

These steps will create your form.

To have the agent receive messages filled out in these forms, follow these steps:

    1. Go to CRM/Settings/Notifications
    2. For the Agent to receive an e-mail with the form information use [agent_email] in the TO: field. If you want the user to be notified, use either [user_email] tag or a specified e-mail (johns@gmail.com)
    3. Fill out Message box with whatever information you need with the help of attributes, tags and variables.
    4. Pick your trigger action, there are default actions and once you create your form in the shortcode forms tab, the title of this form will appear in the trigger actions box, you can check it off to attach the notification to that specific form.

Now you can paste the shortcode you copied into any property or page. Once the user fills out this form, the notification that you have created will go out to the specified by you user/agent.

All the above information and more is in this article I sent above: https://feedback.usabilitydynamics.com/knowledgebase/articles/1083001-wp-crm-settings-the-notifications-tab-the-shortcod

    Hope this makes sense.

Done. Added the shortcode to an html widget and put it on the sidebar. Doesn’t work.

When a user fills the form, the message does not get sent to the agent. The form shows an error message: “A server error occurred while trying to process the form.”

However, the message does get saved in the Message section of CRM if you go looking for it. But there is no email sent to admin or agent and there is no New Message icon anywhere.

Im sorry but no, it does not make sense. That link does not describe how to build a contact form with your plugin. Its very generalized information for a complex setup.

    What now?

    Hello?

    Hello,

Sorry about the wait, could you please update your plug-in to make sure that it is up to date. Also, try to insert the shortcode into the text widget instead.

Let me know if you are still having issues, just e-mail us here: https://www.usabilitydynamics.com/contact-us

    Hello @miclovin

Let’s start with the new thread. Will be happy to assist you.

Suggesting you update the plugin Elena just wanted to see if the error still exists. Does it?

    Kind Regards.

Maybe you could just post a How-To instead of going over all this again? I just want a simple contact form that sends a message to the owner/user/agent of each property.

I have created a form, put its shortcode in a text widget. When someone submits it, the message goes to the CRM plugin message list (without any notifications in the dashboard or admin email) but it does not go to the email of the owner/user/agent of the property. In other words, it sort of works but the message does not get delivered to anyone.

You have my login info, check it out again, here is another sample page: https://bit.ly/2sIRDes

The shortcode is on the right sidebar, titled ‘Inquire’
