I need a better option than WYSIWYG textarea

  • Hi,

    I am using a field type “Wysiwyg Editor”. But I would like to have a textarea with Gutenberg Blocks. Is this possible with this plugin?

    Not sure if I get you clearly. Do you mean to display a textarea meta via block? ACF meta display has the possibility to display textarea as well. All the supported field types are mentioned on the site.

    No, the opposite.

    For example, instead of showing the normal WYSIWYG editor in a custom field, like this

    I want to have a textarea where I can add gutenberg blocks, like Image, Gallery, Columns, etc. all the blocks that Gutenberg has for normal posts and pages.

    Do you mean you want to add Gutenberg blocks in an ACF generated meta field (textarea)? If so, I don’t think it is possible.

    Also for that, you may need to contact ACF support directly, this plugin is a collection of ACFBlocks only.
