I must be misunderstanding

  • My problem is that the developer left some image references within the site. The site was built from a purchased theme and the references are due to links back to the theme builders site. Though I have found the exact image files within the content of the theme. I figured easy enough i would just find the references and change the coding using the above string locator.

    When I use the plugin to search for the string i found four references for the first image. i changed them all to no avail. I did this for the first reference in the list. Is it that I need to re-apply the theme? There must be something I’m not understanding?

  • You can just change the references or delete the links in the file-editor.
    You click on a reference > then click on edit > then edit it in the editor and then you have to press save on the right side. Now it should be changed.
    Works for me all the time. Hope this helps.
