• I worked over the functions.php file to eliminate most of the errors. I still get one, but it’s not one that prevents the theme from loading under WP 4+. (The big problem is the amount of deprecated language in the original code. I’ve updated that, but there’s a call it’s still not making correctly. I plan to work that out as soon as I have the time to get back to it.) Is it permissible to share the nearly fixed file under GPL 2.0? The theme still looks great and there isn’t anything I’ve seen like it.

@neferset Do you have your version of the theme available anywhere? This last core update broke mine pretty bad and trying to get it looking decent again.

I should have come back and updated this thread. Sorry I forgot to do that. I managed to get the theme to load with the current Word Press–well, current as of 6 months ago–but between now and then, the whole thing melted down on me. I considered rewriting it from the ground up, but wound up taking Cryout’s Mantra and creating a daughter theme and recoded parts of it and worked on the graphics/layout to mimic the look of Adventure Journal.

My host got hacked, though, and I lost a fair bit of my work, all the middle of a busy October. I’m going to get things back together soon, though.

Basically, you can make Mantra into Adventure Journal so long as you have a complete copy of the files including the graphics. I went without the curled paper edges and the jagged tabs, but they might translate over if you need them. There are probably others that will work just as well as Mantra, but Mantra also has a lot of customization in the preferences, so it doesn’t all have to be recoded.
