I lost my roll

  • I tried to change capability of shop manager. But 404 error was shown.
    I tried it several times. But suddenly my roll was changed. Most of menus were disappeared and I only can approach few menus.
    How can I get my roll back?

    I accessed ftp and deleted ‘user roll editor’folder. it doen’t work to get back my roll.
    Do I have to access to DB to get my capability back?
    Please help me.

    Changes to the roles are made in place. So plugin deletion will not help to return back your roles.
    This post contains some advises on the case you lost admin permissions.

    Crap, same thing just happened to me, I clicked reset shop manager and it deleted it, so now even as admin I have no access to some of my plugins.

    “Reset” is about to move roles to the zero state – as just after fresh WordPress installation. There is a warning test at the confirmation popup. Follow this post, to find a workaround for your situation. Or restore database from a recent backup, which is much easier.
