    Hello

For some reason my site loses the permalinks or the htaccess settings for some unknown reason. This all can be seen that links to portfolio items start randomly to redirect to random blog post instead of the portfolio. It’s fixed just by saving the permalinks without saving anything.

    – All plugins disabled no effect since they cannot be “disable” until it happens
    – Twenty nineteen etc. theme change does not fix
    – The site uses wordfence and couple caching plugins but disabling those too wont help because it happens randomly 1-2 times a week (my estimate)

So is there some way I can track what changes my permalinks or htaccess?

    Hi @sirrahikkala,

Is there some specific task or action you perform before this happens? Or maybe a scheduled task or action that runs?

Usually, the permalinks are flushed/rewritten by a function called flush_rewrite_rules(). So maybe if you can do a quick search in all your wp-content you might find the culprit.

Thank you Ashwin your message. It seems that the change is initiated by some function from “somewhere” instead of human interaction. Couple times a week I might just notice that it has faulted again and go save permalinks. I could do some search with that function.
