I keep getting this error while i am trying to upload a theme

  • Using Google Chrome, i have tried installing a theme i purchased through ftp, that did not work, so i tried installing it through wordpress directly, it starts to upload, but once it gets around 70%+ it gives me this error

    Error 101 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_RESET): The connection was reset

    or starts back at zero, i have tried resetting my modem, what am i doing wrong? i really need to get this theme uploaded!

  • Well first off, breathe, I don’t think this is your fault. ?? Second, it looks to be a problem with your FTP server. I’d open a help ticket (or call/email them) with your web server about this exact error. It’s basically saying that once it connects, something somewhere on your server is restarting that connection and telling it no so it has to go back to step 1.

    For a silly example it’s like if you got into a building with security checks and you got through the first one then there a problem with your ID at the eighth one so you are sent all the way back to step 1. ??

    But yes, it’s not your fault persay, you seem to be doing everything correctly. ??
