I keep getting an error message when I try to customize or add themes

  • I’ve been stuck two days trying to figure out why I keep getting an error message anytime I try to add a theme or customize a theme. I don’t have any plug ins and I’m in the beginning stages of trying to develop a website.

    The error message I get is:
    The requested URL was rejected. If you think this is an error, please contact the webmaster.

    Your support ID is: 4137757276660139124

    PLEASE HELP!!!

  • Try accessing your server via FTP, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    How do I access the server via FTP?

    Also, I’ve activated default themes and I couldn’t customize any of those either. Same error message.
