I just gave 5 stars. But..

  • Whenever I add this line to my wp-config.php file the site stops working (all white space).
    “/** Enable W3 Total Cache */
    /* define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); // Added by W3 Total Cache”

    And if I don’t add this line, then this error keeps appearing in my dashboard:
    “W3 Total Cache Error: Files and directories could not be automatically created to complete the installation. ”

    I’ve this line already added to my wp-config file:
    define(‘FS_METHOD’,’direct’);

    What can go wrong? My site is ‘whybuysell.com’

    I am sorry about the issue you are experiencing and I am happy to help.
    Potentially this is a copy-paste issue:

    /** Enable W3 Total Cache */
/* define(‘WP_CACHE’, true); // Added by W3 Total Cache”

    Should be

    /** Enable W3 Total Cache */
define('WP_CACHE', true); // Added by W3 Total Cache

    Preferably right after the <?php.
