I haven't done this in years
-
(technically, I’m using bleeding edges, but …..let’s continue)
on the main site (I don’t want the moderator police finding me) we’ll call it site1, I’ve got a wildcard SSL running – https://site1.comnow I’ve also got subdomains of
- https://2010.site1.com
Now I take out site2.com, site3.com & site4.com with the ultimate goal of being able to use domain mapping for the other sites.
Everything’s set right at the registrar for site2/3/&4, so that part is done right.
Sunrise? It’s been set!
Unfortunately….- When I go to the dashboard, under /wp-admin/network/sites.php none of those new sites are appearing?
- When I visit site2 3 & 4 directly, I get redirected back to https//:site1.com
- IF however I go to site2.com/wp-login.php I get the usual login screen, but a) it’s got the https:// in the url giving me the glorious security warning b) once I do login, it again, throws me back over to the homepage of https://site1.com. For clarity’s sake, the url I put in when I added the site did not have an https:// added. I simply typed site2.com
For the love of all that’s good an Holy, what in the world have I done?
