• Hello, I am unsure as to how to go about this problem and will appreciate your help. I am brand new to anything website related so apologizes if I do not understand. When I first got wordpress two days ago and started playing around with my website I changed some themes just to see how it worked. After this I ended up following a youtube tutorial on the basic design changes you can make, in this it was recommended to use the theme Astra (I dont know if this is relevant). After this I selected a template and started making changes. Now on my wordpress dashboard if I hover over my website name in the top left corner I am met with the option of “visit site” or “visit store”. Clicking visit site brings me back to the website prior to making changes where it is a basic theme with no website functionality. If I click visit store it brings me to the version with the template I used and the changes I have made (I will refer to this as the new page and it is the one I want). When on the new pages if I click on Home on the top menu I am sent back to the “old” website that is a different theme and I cannot do anything on the page except close it out.

I have tried checking to see if I can delete the “old” page or make the new page the static homepage. Firstly the new homepage is already the static homepage. Secondly I cannot even find the “old” page as a separate page! When I try to view the only “home” page on the dashboard (under pages section) there is another issue, if I click view it brings me to the old page but if I click “edit with elementor” it brings me to the new (and desired page) with all my changes saved. Please help! Thank you!

    All-in-One WP Migration

    Elementor

    Hostinger

    LiteSpeed Cache

    Starter Templates

    WooCommerce

    WPForms Lite

this is a list of all plugins I have, the only one that isn’t active is the hostinger one. I don’t know exactly what they all do if i remember correctly from two days ago when i downloaded one plugin the others were installed as well. (excluding hostinger i think) not sure if this is needed for context

You’ve installed the WooCommerce plugin, which, as the name suggests (and I’m hoping you read what it does before installing it) is a plugin for building an e-commerce store. That’s what’s providing the “Visit Store” link. The link takes you to the store’s homepage (as opposed to the website’s main homepage).

If you’re not trying to build an e-commerce site, remove the WooCommerce plugin and any pages it automatically created.

Secondly I cannot even find the “old” page as a separate page! When I try to view the only “home” page on the dashboard (under pages section) there is another issue, if I click view it brings me to the old page but if I click “edit with elementor” it brings me to the new (and desired page) with all my changes saved.

That simply means the page was created with the 3rd-party plugin, Elementor… and not with WordPress’ own editor. So nothing surprising there.

If you need further help, please provide your site address (it has to be public!) so we can take a look at the “two home pages” and help you resolve the mystery.

    Standing by.

I have two different menus on the homepage, and I don’t know how to fix this. Can someone help, please?

@mrx3419: As per the support forum guidelines, please open your own topic to ask your question. In your new post, be sure to clearly show what these two different menus are, as that wasn’t obvious to me when I checked out your site.

And do not post your email address in a public forum like this: that’s also against the rules here… plus it’s a sure way to attract spammers and never-do-gooders.

    See the relevant support guidelines:
