Thats definitely not the case. I have only installed your Lightbox plugin. Could it be that the white background is the normal “link to media file”? And that the dark lightbox just overlays it?

I took a look at the scripts your page loads and found a second Lightbox: https://kunsthandel-kleinknecht.de/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wonderplugin-gridgallery/engine/wonderplugingridlightbox.js?ver=17.0C It adds Magnific Popup: https://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/

I would suggest to just disable my plugin and stick with Wonderplugin Gridgallery, if you need it.

thanks for your feedback! Yes, you are right, I have this gridgallery installed! I never use the lightbox-feature inside the gallery, so I had not thought that the gallery also has a lightbox script installed!

Yes, the problem is, that the gridgallery needs specific dimensions for the thumbnails, so I cannot use it for a simple post-image.

But anyway, i will keep looking if I can find a lightbox without jquery, maybe it will work then.

If you don’t need the wonderplugingridlightbox.js you can dequeue the script. Add this to your functions.php:

function wpdocs_dequeue_script() {
    wp_dequeue_script( 'wonderplugin-gridgallery-lightbox-script' );
}
add_action( 'wp_print_scripts', 'wpdocs_dequeue_script', 100 );

But you will still load jQuery anyway.
