I have something fishy happening with my blog….details inside…
-
Hello All!
I have an interesting problem. I will try to explain it as best as possible.
Okay, I have a blog that is hosted on my own server. I have been using the wordpress dashboard to edit my .php files and manage my blog. I am using the theme White by easternwest & wpzone. I have made various changes to the .php files to customize it to my liking. For example, I created a header and put a image in it, I put a few images on the side bar, etc. The weirdest thing has happened though, and I can’t figure out what the deal is. I went to change the header image tonight, like I have always done. Through WP dashboard on my server, under edit themes. But when i accessed header.php, all the codes I have created myself are not there. The <a href codes I have used for the header image is not showing. Neither are the ones in the sidebar that I have created. But the weird thing is, when I go to my blog url, both the header image and the sidebar images are showing just like they always have. I even tried making small changes to a .php file through the WP theme editor (like change 2009 to 2010 on the footer), and when I update the file, it doesn’t change on my blog. However, if I go to my blog url and right click and view source, I can locate the <a href codes for the header and sidebar images. If anyone has any idea what is going on, and what I can do to make it to where I can edit the accurate .php files in the theme editor it would be really appreciated.
Hopefully I explained it without being too confusing. If you need me to clarify anything let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Chris
