I have received the Unlock email after 4-5 hour… why?

    Hello,

    my website is in maintenance mode.
    I did a small mistake and I was locked out from my website =)
    So, I used the Unlock email features…
    But, I didn’t received nothing.

    Mmm… strange…

    I decided to restore an old database backup and to continue to work.

    But, with my surprise, I have received the Unlock email only now, after 4-5 hours, to my personal mail.

    How can be possible? What can I do to speed-up this process?

    # EDIT 1: I used the Wordfence option: “Send a test email from this WordPress server to an email address:” and I have received the email in a few seconds..

    # EDIT 2: I use “WP Mail SMTP” plug-in with Siteground SMTP setup.

    I did it again together with the Siteground support.

    WP Mail SMTP plug-in is set perfectly

    We did some test with WP Mail SMTP” plug-in and the e-mail send TEST is very fast.
    In a few second I receive the notification in my personal email.

    The same with Wordfence e-mail TEST. It’s very fast…

    The problem seems to be with Wordfence Lock-out mail…

    Mmmm…

    EDIT: I have received the unlock mail now, after… mmm 8 hours… EIGHT O__O

    Hey @scarpinoc,

    It should also send immediately. Can you please check with your host to see if they’re getting caught up in the email server?

    Have you tried disabling WP Mail SMTP as a test to see if it helps?

    Mmm..

    I have disabled WP Mail SMTP and it was fast,
    enable again and.. it’s also fast again…

    Mmm… I wil write oyu if I will have some update.

    That does seem a little odd; it may have been a caching issue. Either way, please do let us know if the problems come back up.
