have installed two WP instances , however only one is running and letting me access my web site. The second installation throws :

    Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can’t contact the database server at mysqlhost. This could mean your host’s database server is down.

    * Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
    * Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
    * Are you sure that the database server is running?

If you’re unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

?????? Maybe some one knows this situations, please help. ?????

You do have 2 separate prefixes for your database?

What do you mean? I installed two different WP in different directories and got 2 passwords for each installation.
then I forwarded my DNS to these directories
then it worked but just for one day:)
now I can not access my other site (second WP)

I hope you have followed this guide: Installing_Multiple_Blogs – if not, read it now and you’ll understand samboll’s question.
