I have an error with Google Tag Manager. Compilance has blocked the GTM code.

I have the compilance plugin for build LOPD but when I’m done setting up, I’ve noticed we’ve blocked the GTM code.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @bemarketingcat,

I see GTM being set and if Analytics is added by GTM it is fired correctly.

How did you add the GTM code? If this is done in Complianz it will fire the data layer directly, and consent is based on custom events in Tag Manager.

Thank you for the answer Aert,

I think I did not explain myself well in my previous comment.

When loading my web (if we use Google Tag Assistant we can see it), the GTM tag gives an error loading:
[script] tag must not be included in a [div]
GTM JavaScript code not found as a direct child of the [head] tag
GTM non-script code not found: either missing or not in [body]

In the complianz plugin you can put your GTM reference number and nothing else. Once you put it and save it, it already looks like it’s in place, but it shows me wrong.

    Hi @bemarketingcat,

You can add the GTM code to the Complianz wizard (cookies section -> statistics). Then, you can add custom events (cmplz_event_functional, cmplz_event_0, etc.) and assign the scripts to these events. Then you can name the categories via Complianz -> cookie banner. For example, the Analytics script can be added for under cmplz_event_0, which can be names ‘statistics’.

Please refer to this article for a detailed tutorial: https://complianz.io/definitive-guide-to-tag-manager-and-complianz/

Let me know if you have any further questions.

    Kind regards,
    Leon

This GTM installation guide through compilanz was what I used and it made me wrong, attached capturing the error message that I got.

    Hi @bemarketingcat,

I guess somewhere in the HTML a <div> class was not properly closed, unrelated to Complianz, but I see you changed to GT4WP?

    regards Aert
