I have a existing website and want to create a new website that has ecommerce

  • I have a website for my tailor shop. It is a flash website that only shows different suits and you can make appointments. I want to build a new website with WordPress that is not only a website for the tailor shop but I also want to sell suits, ties etc through my website. I dont know where to start with moving my current domain to a WordPress domain. Do I build the WordPress site first then move my current domain? And is it possible to have a website that is for my tailor shop and for e-commerce? Thank you.

    That’s usually the preferred solution, yes. You can install WP in a sub-folder on your domain and then allow it to take over the root domain when you’re ready to launch the new site.
