• Yes, the plug-in is very nice, but how I hate persistent messages. No matter how many times I click the dismiss ‘X’ it keeps reminding me:
“Major update for both Free & PRO versions.”
Yes, I know that by now, thank you very much.

If you do these annoying ‘reminders’, that’s how you get 1-star reviews.

    Hi @cambofrizz

Hope you’re doing well today ??

First of all, we are so sorry for any inconvenience you are having, we will do our best to help you get this resolved ASAP.

I’ve addressed this to our devs team to be resolved urgently. Also, I’ve checked the notification on a couple of testing sites and I can it disappears when I click the “X” button without coming back after page reload.

I would be more than glad to help, but this needs to be checked from your end to make sure there is no conflicts. So, could you please just send us a message on our website and we will et this fixed for you in a minute?

Look forward to hearing from you.

    Regards

Apparently it has to do with turning off the blocks in WordPress. I have the plug-in Disable Gutenberg installed and activated. When I de-activate that, the major update message disappears after clicking the dismiss button. It also doesn’t come back when I re-activate Disable Gutenberg.

Thanks so much @cambofrizz for your response. I’ve tried to install Disable Gutenberg plugin on a couple of our testing sites, but everything seems to be working fine and I was able to dismiss the notice.

I suspect there is a conflict between Disable Gutenberg and some other plugin that causes the AJAX request we send to dismiss the notice not to be successful.

Could you please try to dismiss the notice (while Disable Gutenberg plugin is active) and share a screenshot from the console after clicking the “X” button? You can see that by right-click on your page, click Inspect to open developers window, then navigate to Console tab.

Or, you can simply send us a message and the team will check it and release an update within some minutes to resolve this issue.

Not anymore, as the message is already gone. I did a rollback to the previous version and then updated, but the message did not appear again.

So glad to hear that. You’re most welcome to send us a message for further investigating to prevent having such issues again.

We also would be really grateful if you could change the rating especially because you like Premium Addons. You can’t imagine how much this would affect us and we really appreciate your understanding ??

You don’t understand. I don’t think the issue is resolved, I think the message doesn’t appear again, because it was once successfully dismissed when the Gutenberg plug-in was disabled.

@cambofrizz I see. Well, could you please just send us a message here? and you will receive a reply within a few moments and the devs team will release a new version of the plugin within a couple of minutes includes a fix for this issue.

    Hi @cambofrizz

I can’t see any messages from you. Could you please let me know so we can release the new version ASAP?

If your dev team has already found the problem, I don’t see why you cannot simply release the new version. As written above, I cannot replicate the problem after the message was removed when Disable Gutenberg was de-activated.
Also, this is on a local install.

Actually, the team still trying to find the issue. We need to check things from your end to find the cause of the issue.

Once you send us a message, the team will make a couple of changes to show the message again, then try to dismiss it to see the error. We would greatly appreciate if you could help us finding the issue by sending us a message.

Also, could you please provide a screenshot from the active plugins? You can find that by navigating to your WP Dashboard -> Premium Addons for Elementor -> System Info tab.

I have done that myself (deleting “new_features_notice” in DB), so the message would show again. Now, when dismissing the message I got “success: true” in the console, and I only had to click once. I’ve tried several things with plug-ins activated and de-activated, but I cannot replicate the initial behaviour as reported in the first post. I guess it must have been some temporary glitch in my set-up. Although it would be nice to find out exactly what it was, I’ll leave it at this.

Since your suppport here was quick and to the point I have revised my rating.
