I hate blocks. Can I go back please?

The new block editor is not an improvement. It’s awkward, clunky and wastes a huge amount of my time. I have been using it for weeks now and although I can make it work, I still hate it. Is it possible to stay with a contemporary version of WordPress (for the security upgrades etc) and have the option of using the classic WordPress editor? I’m seriously tempted to change blogging software because of this terribly ill-conceived innovation. And don’t try to convince me that I really should love it. I am not against change, some changes are great, but this one isn’t. It stinks.
