I got so many spam contacts after upgrading the reCAPTCHA v3

    Please back reCAPTCHA V2 – a lot of spam goes through the form!!!

    Turns out API keys for reCAPTCHA v3 are different from those for v2; keys for v2 don’t work with the v3 API. You need to register your sites again to get new keys for v3.

    @rbridger I registered the reCAPTCHA v3 and configured the Contact form already but till got a lot of spams.

    I agree! Our SPAM has gone up 500% after installing the new version of Contact Form 7.

    We followed all the instructions and got new keys for v3 installed. The SPAM went from nothing (with v2) to about 2-3 a day. It appears the v3 Recaptcha is not working very well.

    Can you please add an option to use v2 recaptcha???? A classic case of not removing a working feature just because Google brings out a new recaptcha! Please bring v2 BACK!!!

    Even after properly adding v3 api keys, the flood of spam didn’t subside. Ended up using the following with the latest release of CF7 to get v2 to work again: Contact Form 7 – reCaptcha v2

    After downgrading it to 5.0.5, there is no spamming anymore. The best solution right now is to downgrade it.
