That could happen for a number of reasons, but the first thing I would check is that your API credentials are accurate. Also make sure you have the Sandbox mode option enabled if you are using sandbox credentials and vice-verse.

I’ve also seen this error if you’re using a personal PayPal account, so you need to make sure the account is a business account.

Please check those things and let me know if that helps.

hi thank u for your replay:)
i dont use the sandbox. i tried to purchase with 1$ from the shop.
at the setting checkout page i put the token number and the email address of my business account.
when i tried to push the other button to submit the order (not yours with paypal logo), it related me to a paypal page and it looked fine.. i filled up the form and submited it but nothing really happened. it didnt send me and email confirmation nor the woocommerce plugin.

not sure where is the problem/

I’m confused. Our plugin would require that you enter an API username, password, and signature value. Not simply a “token” and email address. Are you sure you’re not confusing our plugin with another?

the woocommerce comes with paypal and than i upload your plugin. and in simple paypal i put the token and email. so im confused too.
what should i do? from where i get the API username and so on? and do i need to ignore the simple paypal since im using yours?

sorry but im very new with wordpress in general so not sure sometimes how things works.

    thankx:)

The PayPal Standard that you’re referring to is what comes with WooCommerce by default. Our plugin adds “PayPal Express Checkout”. That’s the one you want to go into and adjust the settings for.

Take a look at our setup guide and let me know if you have any other questions after that.
