    WordPress version: 3.8.1
    Plugin version: 2.4

    Hi,

I’m having an issue where if I want to edit a song and I click ‘Update’ it logs me out of the site, i.e. I’m redirected to the login page.

I upgraded WordPress and the plugin and the issue persists. The only active plugin is the audio player.

Otherwise, the player works fine on the front-end; no issues for me.

    PHP version is 5.3.28
Let me know if you need any other information.

Any ideas on what could be causing this?

    Thanks

    Fabio

Hmm that’s an interesting one, haven’t seen it before. Please can you post a link to your site so I can take a quick look and try to help you further?

    Thanks

    Hi Maeve,

    Here you go.

This is with the ‘TwentyTwelve’ theme. I tested on the existing theme I had too, same thing.

You can see that it plays fine on the above page. It’s the admin which is being weird….

    Thanks for looking, appreciate it.

    Hi Maeve,

I forgot to mention that I deleted the plugin and reinstalled thinking it would fix the problem.

    Update:

    Hi Maeve,

I was trying to fix on an identical site (identical db, copied files etc)
and deleted the plugin. I then removed the ‘hmp_playlist’ and ‘hmp_rating’ tables before installing the plugin again.

    Same thing.
Any other suggestions for any other tables I should remove to try and fix?

    Thanks

    Fabio

I am having the same issue – using any theme. I have also deactivated all other plugins, but still get logged out when I click ‘update’ or ‘delete’ on any song. Also interesting is that the login screen that pops up will not actually allow me to log in – just keeps redirecting me to the same /wp-login screen.

May I please ask what hosting are you guys using? Company, and also what type of server – Linux or Windows?

    …My thinking being this:
If it’s happening on every theme then it’s not a theme issue
You both have deactivated all other plugin so it is not a plugin conflict.
And the plugin works for tens of thousands of people, so it must be something specific to do with the environment of these sites….

    Hi Maeve,

I’m using Hostgator, running PHP 5.2

As you know, I bought the ‘Pro’ plugin and I don’t have this issue anymore.

However, my workaround to fix the solution however was this:
    1. New install of WordPress
    2. Import all posts, etc
    3. Install plugins one-by-one whilst testing to see whether the plugin still works.
    4. Only once I had a ‘fresh’ site with no unnecessary stuff in the database did I go for the pro, because the client wanted the drag-and-drop functionality.

    Thanks

    Fabio
