I get a mail server error, while my mail server is working fine

Hello,
My form Contact Form 7 works perfectly for over 10 months. But for some days, I get an error message every attempt to send. This error message is wrapped with a red border.
After reading the documentation (https://contactform7.com/faq/after-Submitting-the-form-i-get-an-error-message/) it seems that this is related to a problem with the mail server. But I never changed the configuration of the server and after a test of the mail () function in PHP I get emails from the server so it seems to be working fine. I also updated Contact Form 7 to the latest version but this didn’t solved the problem.
Do you have an idea for an additional thing I need to check, or do you had a similar problem? It’s very important for me to solve this problem as soon as possible because I use Contact Form 7 for booking restaurant tables.
