After a few years of inactivity on my website, I decided to pursue it again and still was able to see all of my previous data in my wordpress, despite deactivating both my domain and jetpack. However, Jetpack was still connected in the background (bare with me, I am not very savvy and self-taught when it comes to managing a wordpress).

I’ve reactivated my domain and decided to see if I could migrate my old posts and content over, but accidentally removed jetpack in an attempt to “troubleshoot” issues with accessing WP Admin. After doing this, I realized that now I had completely lost my content and unable to find anything for it ?? I am hoping that there is a way to somehow retrieve through a previous backup and repurchasing Jetpack.

  • Hello @ifiperis . My apologies you lost your content. I am not sure many hosts keep content if your hosting was not renewed for a while. Most of them delete your data after seding emails or after your grace period ends. I would recommend checking to see if you had any backups for the site. More so, you can check and see if you have a backup with Jetpack. You ca as well check this with the Jetpack Plugin support forum

If you were paying Jetpack for their backup services or for a Jetpack plan that included backup services, you can get priority support at https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support
