I don’t have an API Key?

    Hi there,

    I’ve been using WP for many months and with the latest upgrade I thought I’d check out Akismet. But when I went to my profile it showed nothing for the API key and the note your API key seems to be invalid.”

    How do i recover it/get a new one?

    login to that blog
    and the key is on the User page (I think)

    But will I be able to use it for my existing (old) blog?? An API key is not “attached” to a particular blog? I dont want a new blog ?? but would like to use Akismet on my current blog.

    You can use that Key for a wordpress.com hosted blog or one that is hosted else wheres.. and you can use it on whatever of your blogs, old n new if I remember right….cause it’s YOUR Key..even if you have 20,000 blogs, I think you can still do it… LOL!!
