• Hi

I just installed the plugin and am trying one of the example shortcodes.

I just see “Weather information is retrieved” then it dissapears.

Is is related to the Avada theme I am using?

    Regards
    Christophe

    Hi @chrbonte,

I’ll check this as soon as possible. Have you also tried the shortcode without lazy loading?

Did you get any errors in the debugger console on this page?

    Best regards.

Without lazy loading same issue but indeed I see in console the following

avada-scrollspy.js?ver=7.6.1:1 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘options’)
    at avada-scrollspy.js?ver=7.6.1:1:516
    at dispatch (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.0:2:43064)
    at v.handle (jquery.min.js?ver=3.6.0:2:41048)

On each page of the site, even without your widget. Could that have something to do with it?

    Hi,

Based on the error message in the console, I assume that there is a general error from the avada theme on your website. can you open a support topic with them? if the problem with the weather forecast widget still persists, please let us know again.

    Best regards.

    Hi

Found the issue, checked console and apparently there was an admin error saying title was not set. Have no clue why it was not shown in output page but as soon as I added a title the forecast was shown.

    However I have another issue

    Using this shortcode
    [weather_forecast_widget lazy_loading=”X” template=”2″ hourly_forecast=”show” show_daily_forecast=”” daily_forecast=”hide” show_hourly_forecast=”X” city=”Sint-Martens-Latem”]

I would expect the hourly forecast to be initially shown as expanded due to hourly_forecast=”show” but it doesn’t and when I click on it it opens and closes directly?

Can you check why this happens please?

    Hi

Avada developers checked the site and they say the script error is due to your plugin. Effectively when I disable the pugin the script error is gone.

Can you investigate further please? Can this be solved?

    Hi @chrbonte,

When I embed the widget with your shortcode in my localhost wordpress, everything works as it should.

Can you please send me the link where I can see the reply of the Avada Developers?

Furthermore, it would be very good if you could embed the widget on a blank page (without the notification carousel) on your homepage and then send me the link.

    Best regards.

    Hi

I removed the notification carousel from the page. Only the widget is shown.

Your widget is so cool. I really hope this can be solved. Regards Christophe

    Hello

Apologies for the delay. It was owing to the weekend.
I have checked the issue further, It seems Weather Forecast Widget plugin is causing the conflict for this.

Have you been able to look at the issue?

    Hi @chrbonte,

Unfortunately not. Actually I do think that the plugin is incompatible with your theme.

To test this assumption, could you please temporarily install and activate Twenty Twenty-Two Theme and check the widget again.

    Thank you and best regards!
