So, I am in the WordPress Pages. Using Gettysburg. I scroll down where yeast SEO used to be and I only see “ultimate social media” box. I need to make changes to the keywords and to other thing in yeast seo on the page but I can not. i know there is a button on the sidebar but it does not allow me to make changes. It just has suggestions for me.

    Hi @valerie1980,

Thanks for using the Yoast SEO plugin.

We are sorry to hear the Yoast meta box that generally appears under the content was moved to the sidebar. We know how frustrating it is when something doesn’t work how you expected.

We are aware of a reported issue with the block editor where the meta boxes under the content can be pushed to the sidebar, sometimes accidentally. In short, the under-content and sidebar list of boxes appear to be a single list. Due to the sidebar setup being stored per user and browser, we cannot fix this for your account. However, we can provide you with guidance on moving the sidebar meta box back under the content.

So let’s do this together, step by step. If you get stuck at a step, please tell us the step number and provide us with a screenshot of what you see so we can better assist you.

    1. Go to the add new post screen.
    2. If the sidebar DOES NOT show ‘Document’ and ‘Block’, click on the gear or sidebar icon next to the ‘Publish button’.
    3. Click the kebab three-dot menu.
    4. Click on ‘Options’.
    5. Under ‘Advanced Panels’, check ‘Custom fields’ and click ‘Enable & Reload’.
    6. The page should refresh, and you will see a ‘Custom fields’ section below the content and above the ‘Document’ line. You may have to scroll down to see the ‘Custom fields’ section.
    7. In the sidebar (while the gear or sidebar icon is selected), you will see a ‘Yoast SEO’ section. You may need to scroll down in the sidebar or minimize some areas.
    8. Click the up arrow ‘^’ next to the ‘Yoast SEO’ section. The meta box will move from the sidebar to the under-content area.
    9. Click the arrow on the right side to expand (if minimized) the Yoast SEO section.
    10. Disable the ‘Custom fields’ section using the above steps that enabled it.

Let us know if there’s anything else we can assist you with; we’re happy to help.
