I didn’t like this, but now I don’t. I actually like it.

Hello Dolly plugin is the Hello World! equivalent of WordPress. It doesn’t do much, but it never claims to. It’s there to give curious WordPress users a window into how a plugin works.

You don’t like it? It takes just a few seconds to get rid of. Nothing hurt. Nothing lost. No need to be nasty about it.

It’s become a part of WordPress culture now. Maybe one day they’ll retire the good ol’ Dolly, but I’ll always remember her! And I’m sure you’ll do too.
