I created a wordpress using a temporary url. I’m ready to transfer the permanent url to this site. When creating the site I used the temp url for all the links. I was in the process of changing them all when I made a stupid mistake. I changed the url in the general settings to the new url. Now I can’t get into it to make other changes. I’m assuming as soon as the new url is directed to the wordpress site I will be fine. BUT….

The IT guy is having trouble making the change. Problems totally unrelated to this issue. Until he gets that fixed I can’t get into the site.

My second stupid move was that I didn’t backup the site before making the changes on the links. So I can’t just use the back up as a whole.

Here’s my question: Is there one file in my backup that has the old setting for my General Settings page? Could I just move that one file back over and have it reset the it to the old url? This may be wishful thinking but I thought it’s worth asking about.

Thanks for any help you can give,
    Pamela
