I could not have asked for more
-
After a very bad experience of having my host manually migrate my website many years ago, I had planned on actually creating a new website on a sub domain and then moving it to its new domain URL by hand – I mean copy paste and re-upload images one by one, rather than chancing the nightmare of migration of years ago…I’m talking about a 56 page website with many 100’s of images in galleries.
I did create the website on a sub domain but was inspired to search for new innovative ways of migrating this new website. I came across the All-in-One WP Migration plugin, read all the information, all the reviews and all the posts in the forum and my gut told me to give this plugin a chance, after all it would save me weeks of work right! …if not I would go back to plan A.The export and import went smoothly, just like in the video, however most of my site had not imported. I reached out in the rather evident neurotic panic of a newbie in this techie world to the plugin support team and within a day my website was seamlessly migrated to it’s new URL.
I don’t need to know the exact details of what the issue was other than my database set up was a bran new issue, so wouldn’t go along for the migration ride.
I cannot say enough for the professionalism, honesty and integrity of Pim and the plugin team for resolving this issue in a day. Support of this kind is not something I’ve come across before, certainly not for a FREE plugin…they support what this plugin offers. Yes it does have its limitation of 512MB size for migration, which is a rather large website – do remember to delete your backups before exporting, they do take up a lot of unnecessary space.
I actually feel honored to have been part of the continued improvement of this plugin. Not much in life is absolute and not all exceptional cases can be foreseen, my database was an odd one, now this is being included in the plugin improvement.
There is always room for improvement, that is how life evolves, recognizing it is golden.
Keep up the good work, Blessings
