I can’t upload special file .dsv6 (for swim-club-application) in WP v. 5.0.2

    After updating my WordPress to v.5.0.1, I’m no longer able to upload .dsv6 files (for swim-club-application)

    I installed 10 months ago the ‘WP Extra File Types’ plugin and added its MIME type like so:

    Description (*) = DSV-Standard-6
    File Extension (*) = dsv6
    Mime Type (*) = application

    I could upload these special files up to 08/12/2018 = date of last upload

    Propably after updating WordPress to version 5.0.1 these files could not upload any more. I only received this error message:
    “Sorry, this file type is not permitted for security reasons.”

    Please note, that I all the time do update all plugins, themes, designs and the WordPress too.

    I just tried on my wordpress instance to configure:

    – checked “Check only file extensions”
    – checked “Skip WordPress checks”
    – added new file info:
    —- Description (*) = DSV-Standard-6
    —- File Extension (*) = .dsv6
    —- Mime Type (*) = application/octet-stream

    after that i uploaded a test file (a dummy one) without any problem.
    Could you try again using the same setup i used ?
