• Hi,
I am trying to upload icons from different webs to elementor, but it seems the widget is quite limited. If I try to upload them individually, a windows pops up saying that only zip files are accepted. When I try to uploaded with the zip file it says that the format is not supported, and I only use SVG. I only upload icons in black and white (not filled or coloured). Some are accepted with the web Fontello, but even when those are uploaded to the web, they aren’t visible, they appear as dark dots, and the same happens when I upload them with elementor to the library. I am using a local host installed in my computer.
I know that some webs you have to credit the author, but there others that are completely free, and I don’t understand why I am unable to uploaded them.

Does anybody know what I am doing wrong? Is there any other way to upload icons through WordPress and then upload them to elementor?
I would appreciate any help. Thank you

    Hey @garek21

If you’re using my plugin, you need to upload zip files from Fontello.

If you’re using Elementor’s new custom icons feature, you will need to ask them for support. Their system allows for direct SVG upload, but they won’t be available in third party addons that use icon controls, whereas mine would be.

If using mine and seeing dark dots, can you check your browser console for errors and report back?

    Hi Michael,
Thanks a lot for replying my thread. I am using Elementor. I don’t know which plugin is yours.

How can I upload icons from your plugin and then use them within Elementor? Is there any possibility to upload icons using WordPress and keep them somewhere like, I don’t know, an icon library and then use them on the website, even if you built it with Elementor?

My favourite website to get icons is flaticon.com but not all are free and mostly you have to credit the author. As you said, Elementor doesn’t support 3rd parties so I gave up to get them from there. It’s a shame!

Maybe I will sound a wee bit naive but I thought that uploading icons would be as easy as doing it with an app for you mobile.

Is it possible to upload custom icons? I’ve got a few different sets I created using iconPRO ( https://iconpro.io ) icon maker and wanted to use those with this plugin.

    thanks!
