I Can't Upload any media file in wp 3.3

  • Hello today i have updated my WordPress version 3.2.1 to 3.3. Any window does not open when i click on Select Files button in media uploader page. anyone can tell me please? OR tell me how to change wp 3.3 to 3.2.1 .

  • The media uploader works fine for me, so it has to be something wrong with your install. What I’d recommend is deactivating your plugins, one by one, and testing the media uploader after each one. Then if it starts working, you’ll have found what plugin is messing it up.

    If that doesn’t fix it, I’d switch to the default theme and see if that fixes the issue.

    I have tried the plugins and themes and I am still getting this not working.

    Encase this could be a jQuery issue I am calling it in the header like so:

    <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.4/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

    I also have my upload path set in my database options to “/home/brettgo/public_html/wp-content/uploads” have they changed the upload path in 3.3?

    No, but they DID change the jQuery to 1.7.1

    Is there a way for wordpress to import the jQuery automatically to the latest version? I’m pretty sure this can be done just not sure how.

    Generally you don’t want to do that (though 1.7.1 IS the latest version) as it could conflict with WP’s core features.

    I’d suggest using the ‘Use Google Libraries’ plugin to offload the jquery files.

    Changing jQuery wont work I changed to latest version but it doesn’t work on other themes. I tried a re install as well but no luck.

    What seems to be happening is the file says it uploading, status bar shoots up pretty quick but the file is not uploaded to the folder on the server.

    Are you using Google Chrome? It’s not working for me either. Tried in Internet Explorer and it’s fine.

    Nope doesn’t work in IE either the image is appearing on site but is broken (cross in top corner)

    File path looks correct though https://www.mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/UKPDFC1-300×300.png

    Are you saying that with all plugins off, and using 2011, it STILL fails?
