I cant upload a freaking Featured Image in WP 4.0

  • i have a plugin for slideshow>> to create a slide: i need to set the image as featured image in it>> i click on the featured image>> it takes me to a new link for uploading the image(which is WP media library opening in the same window but as page)>> i upload the image>> hit “use as featured image”>> if click on “done”, msg comes “the image is not found, try some other”>> if i hit “insert into the post”, it loads a blank screen and leaves this link in the address bar “https://everlastingtradingcontracting.qa/ELTC/wp-admin/media-upload.php?type=image&tab=library&post_id=144”.. and phufff, i am stuck..

    AND PLUS, some plugins are also not working, plus i dont have any backup of previous wordpress based configurations of my theme and content, I UPDATED WORDPRESS AS USUAL(and it used to never make a problem after updating)

    I hope any friend can help me on toes with this issue… i cant spend much time on it.. as my client will drop my deal if i cant provide him the site ready with in 3-4 hours.

  • Have you tried disabling your plugins and or switching back to classic template to see if any of those issues are causing problems? There could be a conflicting issue with that plugin and some other.

    bro, i followed this question in other threads as well, and tried my best to solve it according to the solutions provided, but it makes me feel lonely on this planet earth with this problem of mine, as i have searched for 3 continous hrs, and got no results after trying same problem based threads, and implementing the solutions.

    FOR YOUR QUESTION: Yes i tried different plugins, not disabling this one, coz it doesnt matter, THE “ADD MEDIA” button wont respond itself in the pages or posts or new slideshow page

    Yeah that sounds super frustrating. Sorry to hear that. It’s such a unique issue with that one plugin that doesn’t relate to WP as a whole that I would recommend you post on the plugin’s thread. People using it and the author will probably be able to help you more.

    A tip of advice: any client that is only paying 100% after the work and would drop you and not pay you if you don’t complete something within 3-4 hours … is a client YOU should fire.

    i am sorry for being rude.. I wouldn’t mind uninstalling this plugin, if any others were working. seems like i have done all, that was needed, all i need is a popup window of media library that can enable me to set the necessary image as featured.

    hopefully someone will be my super woman
